Refugee Family Quota Sponsor Information and Forms
The New Zealand Immigration Service's (NZIS) Refugee Family Quota facilitates refugee family reunification. It provides refugees resident in New Zealand with an opportunity to sponsor family members who do not qualify for residence in this country under any other category of government residence policy, with the exception of the Family Quota.
Special Zimbabwe National Policy
The Special Zimbabwe Residence Policy is for Zimbabwean nationals who arrived in New Zealand on or before 23 September 2004, and who are not eligible for residence under existing residence policies. Citizens Advice Bureau provides a free, impartial and confidential service of information, support and referral to people in our communities, about any query or problem. We can provide assistance across a broad range of topics such as consumer issues, education and training, employment, housing, budgeting and finances, legal issues, personal and family matters, transport and immigration.
We provide our service from 90 locations around New Zealand from the far north to Invercargill. The CAB also has a Multi Lingual Information Service (MLIS) which makes our CAB service available in around 25 different languages. If individuals need the assistance of the CAB and in their own language, they can contact their local bureau directly or our free phone number (0800 FOR CAB or 0800 367 222) which ensures no cost to anyone calling from a landline phone.
